About Canada Ski-Resorts
Canada is called the Great white north, as you can find family ski resorts, stretched across the very big county of Canada.
Every ski destination offers much for families these days and also offer kids programs. There are lots of snow fun which includes snow-shoeing, tubing, sleigh rides, horseback riding, sleigh rides and even dog sledding.
Western Canadian ski resorts are popular for their wide, empty pistes and guaranteed snow. The temperature is -30 degree Celsius in Banff.
East coast resorts are much more accessible to Europeans. These coasts are good for weekending townies from nearby cities like Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.
The food in Canadian ski resorts is very good. On the east coast, the cuisine has a French flavor and on the west coast, salmon fish is really very good and inexpensive compared to Europe.
Family ski resorts in eastern Canada
Mont Tremblant – This is in the province of Quebec, an hour and a half north of Montreal and easily accessible from the northeast of USA. Quebec is a French speaking province, but you will have no trouble being an English speaker.
Mont Tremblant is one of the best known ski destinations in eastern Canada and visitors will find shops, villages and lodgings with ski valet.
Mont Sainte-Anne – This is half an hour from Quebec city and is the greatest family ski resort in eastern Canada. You can either stay in Quebec City and shuttle to the mountains or stay at the mountain base in the canadain rockies.
In the province of Alberta is the marquis mountain where the Banff/lake Louise area is a famous destination for family ski resorts. It is 90 minutes from the Calgary airport.
Some very popular ski resorts are sunshine village, Alke Louise, Norquay.

I’m going to the Sunshine Coast for 6mths from Feb and would like to rent a 1 or 2 bed appartment / house for this period. How much is it likely to cost per month or week and where can I go for short-term lets?
