Today we said a special goodbye to Peri, the marketing coordinator at GV Maroochydore. In early September Peri will welcome a baby boy into the world. We wish her all the best in her new role of being a mother!

Maroochydore Orientation Day

On Thursday the 3rd of June students who will be making the move to the new Maroochydore School are encouraged to attend an orientation day. This will give students the opportunity to see their new school before the first day of classes on the 15th of June.
The day includes a tour of the new campus and surrounds, a bbq at Cotton Tree Park, free Kayaks to explore the beautiful cotton tree beach and beginning of the Maroochy River, beach volleyball and soccer. Students might also like to take the opportunity to stay on later for student night activities.
Transportation is being organised for students, it is strongly recommended you attend so you are ready for the first day of classes and can join in the fun and excitement of our big move!

If you are a surfer, it could be a great time to head down to the beach. Remember though, that these are NOT conditions for beginners! Please only go into the water if you are a strong swimmer and experienced surfer.
A big swell can be great to just go and have a look at though, so for the rest of us it’ll be a good chance to take a walk on the beach and check it out!

Exclusive GV Gold Coast Trip

Next weekend we have a bus going to the Gold Coast with GV Noosa and GV Caloundra students. First stop is Dreamworld and Whitewaterworld, then off to Surfers Paradise for a night club tour. After a couple of hours sleep at the backpackers, some breakfast and a visit to the markets and DFO shopping on the way home.
All of this for only $220! Spaces are filling fast so get in to see Patty this week to make sure you don’t miss out.

Global Village Caloundra students have the opportunity to sign up to see the Brisbane Broncos Vs South Sydney Rabbitos in premier seating at Suncorp Stadium!!!!!!!!!
The event will take place on Friday the 17th July. Students will depart Global Village Caloundra at approx 4:00pm and will return to Global Village Caloundra at around 10:00pm. Limited places available…

GV Byron Bay officially opens

Global Village English Centres welcomed a new addition to the Australian side of the family this week with the official opening of GV Byron Bay!
GV Byron Bay is located in one of the most popular beach resort locations on the Australian coast, about 90 minutes south of Brisbane or about 40 minutes south of the Gold Coast.
